LaShawnDa Pittman and Terry Scott participate in Ferguson and Beyond: Race, State Violence, and Activist Agendas for the 21st Century

This day-long teach-in, hosted by the Department of Communication, examined the challenges of talking about race in the 21st century, and explored the broader landscape of student and youth activists ­­working to challenge state violence, including those focused on disappeared students in Mexico, imperial wars, immigrant rights, the prison-industrial complex and violence against LGBTQ persons.
