AES Finding Chinese American Roots: Exploring the Cantonese and Hokkien Diaspora with Dr. Connie So
August 19-September 11, 2017
An on-site learning experience focusing on the region with the largest populations of Chinese in the global diaspora. Students will learn about Southern Chinese culture and how the culture has been retained/altered in the United States. At the same time, students will learn how the overseas Chinese experience has impacted South China.
